2024 Michigan Primary

Early voting has begun!! I hope you're taking advantage of the increase to voting access that we now have in the State of Michigan starting this year. Many other states are not as progressive. Whether you are voting by absentee ballot or in person, the Black Slate is here to inform you on the voting process.

Below is what you can expect to be your ballot in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

First things first, You must vote straight party in order for your vote to count. Meaning, if you vote Democrat (Hill Harper for instance) for Michigan Senator, you must vote Democrat for all other offices.

Secondly, you may need to turn your ballot over to vote for judges. The judicial seat is equally as important as all other elected positions.

We have only highlighted candidates endorsed by the Black Slate. Indicating them with either a Star or an Arrow.
